1. Huckleberry Finn is a classic american novel, and its author is Mark Twain,but his real name was Samuel L. Clemens and he lived in the Hartford for  several years.

2.At Farmington Avenue, the very elaborate and elegant house of Mark Twain stood in an  area  called the Nook Farm and he was a neighbor of the writer Harriet Beecher  Stowe who wrote Uncle Tom's Cabin.

3. Twain, in his youth, piloted steamboats on Mississippi and steamboat got into people's minds whenever they see the window and balcony that overlooked the large side porch from Twain's home.

4. One of the first three people to own a telephone in Hartford was mark Twain, although he never really liked this gadget, because there was practically no one to talk to, nevertheless the telephone was first  used commercially for the nearby New Haven.

5. Mark Twain loved industrial inventions but he lost a fortune  investing in  them and one of this inventions was the Paige Typesetter just as this machine was developed so is the Linotype which, a machine that was
much simpler to use and less expensive.
 
6. Susy,  Mark Twain's beloved daughter, died in the Hartford home because of spinal meningitis,that made Twain never felt the same about the house again so, he soon left the house and Hartford,he only returned once for the funeral of his friend, Charles Dudley Warner.
